Appendix I: Classification of GACC Registration for Overseas Food Manufacturers

🔹 17 categories requiring official recommendation registration: meat and meat products; casings; aquatic products; dairy products; bird's nest and bird's nest products; bee products; eggs and egg products; edible fats, oils and oilseeds; stuffed pasta; edible grains; grain-milling industrial products and malt; fresh and dehydrated vegetables and dried beans; seasonings; nuts and seeds; dried fruits; unroasted coffee beans and cocoa beans; foods for special dietary uses; and health foods.

🔹 Other foods: enterprises may apply for registration online through the Single Window system (https://cifer.singlewindow.cn/) by themselves or through an entrusted agent.

Appendix II: Policy Developments in China-Africa Agri-Food Trade (2025-2026)

  • May 1, 2026: China fully implemented a zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries that have diplomatic relations with China.
  • April 26, 2026: GACC issued Announcement No. 50, granting quarantine access for African dried chili peppers under a packaged regional assessment model.
  • June 2025: GACC signed protocols with Gambia for cashews exported to China (Announcement No. 135 of 2025) and with Malawi for macadamia nuts exported to China (Announcement No. 136 of 2025).
